CITY HALL REMAINS OPEN DURING THE LUNCH HOUR…
The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining records of the City Council proceedings and records of the various City departments as outlined in NRS 266.480. The professional staff in the City Clerk’s office performs various services to meet the needs of the public, including: business, liquor and gaming licenses; assisting with the Building Inspector’s office; answering utility billing questions and receiving utility payments; coordinating the scheduling of various community recreation services; receiving Golf Course fees; conducting City elections in conjunction with the Humboldt County Clerk’s office according to NRS 293C; and, maintaining City resolutions, ordinances and other permanent City records (Winnemucca Municipal Code). The duties of the City Treasurer as outlined by NRS 266.500 include responsibilities for payroll, accounts payable, general ledger fund accounting, capital assets and depreciation, investments, certain aspects of Human Resources, audits, budgets and special projects as required.
