The Recreation Director plans, schedules, and develops various recreation activities and programs for the community.

 

The Sports Complex is utilized through the summer months and available for everyone to enjoy.

The Sports Complex consists of four (4) playing fields used for Softball, Baseball, and Soccer.  The Infields have been upgraded to red clay.

Children under the age of eight (8) years old must be accompanied by an adult (16 years old or older).  Children under five (5) years of age must be accompanied by an adult in a swim suit in the water. THESE RULES ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED!

The pool is used very heavily by the public during the summer months.  During certain times it becomes necessary to prevent addiitonal swimmers from entering the facilities so that the appropriate level of safety is maintained.  It is suggested that you call the pool ahead of time to see if the pool is at capacity or if additional swimmers are being admitted.

Monday / Wednesday / Friday:

  • 5:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.                 Adult Lap Swim
  • 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.                 Aquacize
  • 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.              Adult lap swim
  • 5:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.                 Adult lap swim
  • 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.                 Aquacize

Tuesday / Thursday:

  • 5:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.                  Adult lap swim
  • 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m.               Adult lap swim
  • 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.                  Public swim

Saturday:

  • 12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m.               Public swim

Sunday:  CLOSED DURING WINTER MONTHS

The WEIGHT ROOM is next door to Bode Howard Memorial Pool and is open during swimming pool hours.  It's air conditioned and features a large assortment of free weights and other equipment.
